We exist to be disciples of Jesus who make disciples for Jesus.
At First Baptist Columbia, you won't be met with shame, guilt, or condemnation. No matter what you've been through or what questions you might have, our church is a place where you'll find the grace, mercy, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone. Come and be part of our family this Sunday.
Whether it's your first time at church or you've gone to church for years, our Sunday activities are a welcoming place for you to enjoy worshiping Jesus with others. Fellowship opportunities for all ages happen throughout the week. Community makes life better and reminds us that we can't do life alone.
If community is the core of a town, then the fellowship of a church is it’s heart. Be it our Small Groups, D-Groups, Children and Student Ministries, Women’s Ministry, or any of our other opportunities, the fellowship of our church is a key part of our lives as members. Spending time in study and friendship with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ strengthens each other, and builds a true church family.
Children are quite truly the future of our world, so we've created a place for them to learn about Jesus on their level. Every Sunday, all children (babies - 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
Heart for God is where your student can belong. Our ministry is for 6th-12th graders gives students a place to connect with their peers with God as the glue. With opportunities to serve in the Youth Worship Mob band, mission trips, small group studies, and more, they will better equip themselves and each other to lead the next generation of the church and change the world.
We partner with several organizations to take the Gospel to the ends of the Earth. Mission trips transform the people who go as much as they help the people we serve, and as a missions-focused church, we acknowledge His call to reach our own city, state, country, and the entire world. Together, we are making a lasting impact in the communities we serve.
