What to Expect
If you're visiting on Sunday morning for the first time, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Schedule
Our worship services are at 8:00am and 10:45am each Sunday morning. At 9:30am we have Bible study groups for all ages.
Parking
We are a growing church, and parking is often at a premium, especially for late service. We'd recommend arriving early for whichever service you attend. We do have some convenient parking spaces reserved for our guests - just look for the signs.
You'll be greeted in the parking lot or at the door as you come in. Our greeters are there to help you, so if you have any questions, ask away! They'll be happy to direct you to restrooms, the preschool and children's areas, to the sanctuary or Welcome Center
Welcome Center
You should make it a point to drop by the Welcome Center when you arrive. We have gift bags there for our guests, and we'd like for you to have one. You can also find coffee and cookies there, and some friendly greeters who can answer any questions you have.
Small Groups
We highly encourage our guests to visit a small group Bible study, since that is the heart of our church's life. That will enable you to get to know people better than just being in a worship service. Small groups start at 9:30am, but if you're late, don't worry. Drop by the Welcome Center, and they'll help you find the group that's right for you. (Or you can join one online !) We have small groups on Sunday morning for any age, from babies all the way through senior adults.
Worship Services
Our worship service typically lasts about 75 minutes, and includes listening to musical selections, other readings or announcements, greeting one another, and singing worship songs together. We also receive an offering as an act of worship, which goes to support the work of our church. The central feature of worship is a message from the Bible, usually given by our senior pastor, which generally lasts about 35-40 minutes.
Dress
Dress for our services ranges from Sunday best to very casual. You'll be welcomed regardless of what you wear, but if you're concerned about it, think business casual, and you'll fit right in.
Preschoolers and Children
Since our worship service is not the best environment for young children, we provide nursery care for birth through age 3, and in the late service, children's church for age 4 through 3rd grade. We encourage you to utilize these programs. You'll enjoy your worship experience more, and so will your children. All of our children's workers undergo criminal background checks, and we have substantial security procedures in place for your children's protection. If you choose to keep your child(ren) with you, please be considerate to others around you. We provide a cry room with a video feed of the service so you can attend to your child's needs without disturbing others.
For more information on what we provide for children, see our children's ministry page , or call the church office (618-281-5605)
